W.A.L is a song that we have consistently been working on throughout this school year. It was written, arranged, performed and recorded independently by us in our home studio. This song has the potential to relate to many people who face struggles that make them feel alone in the world. In the intro, we have sampled a Charles Bukowski poem to set the mood and introduce the theme of the song...Loving, and being loved. W.A.L describes the story of a troubled teen who dreams of a better life for himself beyond the city and sets out on his own to find it. Throughout the chorus, the lyrics state, "We Are still Loved" shouted by our high school friends to describe the idea that no matter what you go through, you are still loved, by somebody.
